The New Shop-At-Home. Much
like my weakness for my favorite drive-thru coffee shop, I am a sucker
for stores that let me buy online and pick up in-store... This usually
saves me from paying for shipping costs. Plus, the few minutes it takes
to drive myself to collect my purchase is far more appealing than
trekking two energetic pre-schoolers while I comparison shop for a new
computer mouse or cordless phone, only to fall for additional impulse
purchases at the register. Bonus: Many of these stores allow me to pick
up the same day! Great for last-minute gifts! Here are a few places that have this convenient feature.

| I
am quite surprised that more people have not heard of and/or joined
Upromise. Its free & you link up your credit/debit cards, grocery
& drugstore cards to your free, secure account & convert
exclusive savings from every day shopping like gas, groceries &
even cars to a
college fund which you can designate to anyone you want. I've been a
member for almost 10 years & when my kids were born, I made them
the beneficiaries (50/50). Its src="images/Nav/paybills2.jpg"fun to watch the pennies add up over the

Jungle is awesome! I made money selling all the giftcards I knew I'd
never use & I picked up a few more for Christmas presents and saved
about 25% off face value. They even have a feature that lets you trade
with other users. So impressed with this idea, I wish I thought of it.

| In
my opinion, BigCommerce is the easiest new way to open your own online
store. It's simple to customize your own store and even forward your
existing domain (if you have one). Skip the free trial and start with
the $24.95/month subscription because you get all the features &
can cancel anytime. Much more cost effective than certain auction sites that shall remain nameless.
 Paypal
is one of my favorite ways to accept payments from customers or even
family or friends if we are, for instance, splitting the cost on a
large gift for Mom! Many online merchants swear by Paypal. I could go on and on, please sign up if you haven't already.
I suggest signing up for the Premier account or Business account if you
have customers. It's free and entirely secure. You never have to see
account numbers which is good for liability. And you only pay a small
percentage on actual payments recieved, no monthly fees or commitments.
I have used Paypal for years in so many instances, including single
purchases, subscriptions, services, and more. Give it a try!! You even
earn interest on your earnings and can access it through a special
debit card if you request one (for free). |
